Mazowieckie Voivodeship in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland  is organizing  an international conference entitled "Common Europe - the role of regions".

 The project is designed to organize  a conference attended by regional representatives and experts from Croatia and Ukraine, Poland, France and Germany and dedicated to the role of regions in EU policy-making. The conference will consist of speeches of  experts and panel discussions devoted to cooperation, with particular reference to the role of regions and self-governments at all levels in the shaping of common Europe. The conference is intended to develop a direct dialogue between regional self-government communities of the EU countries with the regions of the countries aspiring to join the  EU. Participation in the conference is to enable the exchange of experiences between regions as well as  to establish or expand direct contacts between regional governments, counties and municipalities with their counterparts, inter alia,  in the field of economic and cultural cooperation.
