The Representative Office of Mazovia Voivodeship in Brussels
The Representative Office of Mazovia Voivodeship in Brussels has been operating since October 2002. Its major tasks include:
- assistance in obtainng funds from aid funds and community programs that are available for self-governments
- preparatory activities for the absorption of funds from initiatives and European community programs by the region
- participation in the use of merit of foreign entities (consultations on identification of the relevant programs and assistance in finding suitable partners)
- monitoring of the the latest, proposed and adopted legal solutions for the European Union in the field of regional policy and other areas of importance for the development of the region
- lobbying in the European Institutions and other communities (regional representations in Brussels, the socio-economic partners) for the European policymaking and creating a friendly and beneficial atmosphere for Mazovia
- economic, cultural and touristic promotion of the Voivodeship
- maintaining of working contacts with regional represantations of partner regions in Brussels
- active promotion on joint projects carried out within the framework of the Region’s bilateral and multilateral agreements on interregional cooperation
